The cost of a Marriage Celebrant,  or more specifically, a marriage, varies greatly depending on the Marriage Celebrant you use and the services they offer. Fees can vary greatly, between $150 to $2,000+.

At the end of the day, you'll be legally married no matter how much you pay.

What makes up the cost of a marriage?

The cost of a marriage can be broken into two general areas;

• Documents and
• Ceremony

Documents

Legally required

• Lodgement of your Notice of Intended Marriage form (NoIM)
• Preparation of your Marriage Certificates & Declaration
• Registration of your Marriage with BDM NSW

Ceremony

Part 1) Legally required

• The Monitum
• Your Vows

Part 2) Non legal aspects of your ceremony, but those aspect that can make your ceremony perfect.

• Professional & engaging Marriage Celebrant
• Experienced Marriage Celebrant to manage your ceremony on the day (including you and your guests)
• Prompt communication, prior to the ceremony, to ensure all your questions are answered and you can relax and really enjoy your special day.
• The option writing your own personal ceremony
• Location of your ceremony

Part 3) Bespoke elements of your ceremony that add to the cost

• Length of time your Marriage Celebrant will be required on the day - ie the length of your ceremony
• Guest numbers
• Planning meetings enabling your Marriage Celebrant to write your personalised ceremony for your approval, prior to the ceremony.
• Rehearsals
• Travel time and parking costs

A. Basic Legal Marriage

This would include;

• ALL Documents
• Ceremony  including:
  • Part 1 only

Expect to pay $300 for this. SPECIALS dates from $150.

B. Simple Ceremonies Marriage

This would include;

• ALL Documents
• Ceremony  including:
  • Part 1
  • Part 2

Expect to pay between $300 - $350 for this - depending on which location you select for your ceremony.

C. Bespoke Marriage

This would include;

• ALL Documents
• Ceremony  including:
  • Part 1
  • Part 2
  • Part 3

Expect to pay between $900 - $2,000+ for this. (this is not a Simple Ceremony 😉
