Complete your Notice of Intended Marriage form on our website (we will guide you the whole way). We are the only celebrants to offer this. You can complete NoIM on your phone, if you wish!

How to get married guide

Step 1: Find someone to marry 😉

  • Both parties must be 18 years or older.
  • You cannot be currently married
  • you can not marry a very close e marrying a close relative ie a parent or a sibling.
  • you have to want to get married 😉

Step 2: Selecting Your Venue

Step 3: Booking a Celebrant

An authorized marriage celebrant will need to officiate your wedding in Australia. Take your time to find a celebrant whose style and approach resonate with you. They play a crucial role not just in officiating but in ensuring all legal paperwork, including your NOIM, is correctly handled.

Step 4: Legal Requirements

You'll need to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form, have it signed and witnessed by an Authorised Person and lodge it with your marriage celebrant at least one calendar month prior to your ceremony date (and not greater than 18 months prior to your ceremony date.

Step 5: Customising Your Ceremony, if you would like

This may include writing your own vows, including some of your story, incorporating family and friends into your ceremony (eg someone to walk you down the isle, present the wedding rings)
