With the average cost of a wedding in Australia, coming in at around $36,000 according to the Money Smart Government website, many people are spending a lot of money, that could be used for more substantial returns, such as a  home loan towards the great Australian dream.

In really simple terms, the cost of a wedding can be covered by the following three items:

1. Legally required documents
2. Ceremony costs
3. Bespoke elements for the wedding

1. Documents

Legally required

* Lodgement of your Notice of Intended Marriage form (NoIM)
* Preparation of your Marriage Certificates & Declaration
* Registration of your Marriage with BDM NSW

2. Ceremony

Your ceremony can be broken into three parts;

Part 1) Legally stuff (required)

* The Monitum
* Your Vows

Part 2) Non-legal stuff but those aspects that can make your ceremony perfect.

* Fun, professional & engaging marriage celebrant
* Experienced marriage celebrant to manage your ceremony on the day (including you and your guests)
* Prompt communication, prior to the ceremony, to ensure all your questions are answered and you can relax and really enjoy your special day.
* The option of writing your own personal ceremony
* Location of your ceremony

Part 3) Bespoke elements - these can really add to the cost

* Length of time your Marriage Celebrant will be required on the day - ie the length of your ceremony
* Guest numbers
*Planning meetings enabling your Marriage Celebrant to write your personalised ceremony for your approval, prior to the ceremony.
* Rehearsals
*Travel time and parking costs

What we've done is stream-line the boring bits of getting married. We've introduced things, such as;

* on-line booking
* on-line paperwork
* on-line signing and video witnessing of the NoIM
* no interviews
* registration of marriage same day on-line
* fixed ceremony locations (or you can choose your own for an additional fee)

‍As a result of this, we can offer an all inclusive price, well below the Marriage Registry Office... BUT, what we haven't "stream-lined" is the essence, meaning and importance of your very special day.

‍Cost of getting married at the government Registry Office on a Saturday is between $557 and $732 for up to 30 guests.

Cost of getting married at Simple Ceremonies Studio on a Saturday (right next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge) is between $300 and $425 for up to 50 guests.
